1in8b Play is an independent browser-game implementation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by 1in8b.life or the upstream contributors.

- Actually reused in the new published application: `data/countries.json`, copied byte-for-byte to `src/play-v2/data/countries.json`. The fixed dataset's exact raw-byte SHA-256 is `3d1efffd059811e3315e54e311e9bfbb86a24ebd1e81761b21fc2f0df18cb072`.
- Preserved only for review in Git: upstream code, tests, documentation and original assets. The new build has an explicit source-directory allowlist and does not publish the upstream app, artwork, analytics, payment, genealogy or account modules.

Country statistics are inherited game estimates. Their observation years and per-row provenance are unavailable. The inherited `AGO` flag is wrong; this version displays ISO country identifiers instead of flags. The unchanged underlying bytes preserve reproducibility rather than silently claiming corrected data.

## Implementation specification

The user supplied `1in8bplay_CODEX_IMPLEMENTATION_PACK.zip`, dated 2026-10-22. The new bilingual event text, rules and page copy are supplied by that pack. `src/play-v2/engine/random.mjs` adapts its original deterministic reference helpers; the reference is specification material rather than an upstream runtime import. Public licensing of user-supplied specification material has not been independently established. This is recorded in `rights-review.md`; no legal certification is claimed.

## New assets

The new application uses code-authored SVG geometry and locally generated Canvas cards, system fonts and optional synthesized Web Audio tones. No upstream globe-and-1 image, favicon derivative, raster screenshot, stock photograph, font download or audio recording is published. See `ASSET_MANIFEST.json` for the current asset inventory.

## Development dependencies

`@playwright/test` 1.64.1 and its Playwright dependencies are used for local tests under Apache-2.0. They are locked in `package-lock.json`, remain in `node_modules`, and are excluded from the browser distribution. Playwright project: https://github.com/microsoft/playwright. No browser executable is published with the site.
